The name Lê-g̈edë Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Lê-g̈edë Fêqê was founded by Gadsî Fyepí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Overview

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê was founded durring the late 20th century in late summer of the year 1878, by Gadsî Fyepí. The establishment of Lê-g̈edë Fêqê was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Gadsî Fyepí struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Lê-g̈edë Fêqê as a prison colony.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 20th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lê-g̈edë Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê is buildings are built arround a single crampt baked earthen mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Lê-g̈edë Fêqê's would-be-castle fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Right off the bat Lê-g̈edë Fêqê hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. It’s easy to see where their wealth comes from the more you look arround. Every aspect of the town has been developed with care and great thought. The people themselves act deliberately and with care in even the simplest of daily actions.

Civic Infrastructure

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Lê-g̈edë Fêqê. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Lê-g̈edë Fêqê's parks.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Lê-g̈edë Fêqê.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Lê-g̈edë Fêqê's grid is powered by a god's will and kindness.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Lê-g̈edë Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Lê-g̈edë Fêqê's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by grandeur of scale, simplicity of geometric forms, dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls. This design ethos extended to re-imagining earlier styles of structure to create them anew, with a similar overall look and feel to one another..

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century several years of heavy rains culminated in a peculiar disaster. A great hole opened up beneath Lê-g̈edë Fêqê, swallowing large sections of the community. Lê-g̈edë Fêqê lost 119 people, 120 livestock, and 71 buildings in the disaster. This disaster is often refereed to as The Heartache Swallowing.
